This body of work was inspired by my travels through Mail, where the Sahel desert’s wide, monochromatic landscape contrasts with the intense, vibrant and colorful markets. This juxtaposition of tranquil landscapes and lively marketplaces led me to create these multi- layered, textural paintings.
